Unit 5 Months of the Year 教学设计

一、教材分析
闽教版小学英语以“题材—功能—结构—运用”为编写原则,本课的话题是months of the year,功能是发展学生的观察、交流、思考能力,提高学生综合运用语言的能力,任务是让学生能够听说认读单词month,并掌握新词汇的正确发音,掌握句型When is your birthday? My birthday is in….... 能够熟练灵活运用。
二、学情分析
五年级学生处于高年级学段,他们思维活跃,模仿能力和记忆力较强,活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维和抽象思维相结合,对游戏、竞赛、画画还有兴趣。他们基本掌握一定的英语日常用语,具备一定的英语基础。
 三、教学目标、
1. 知识技能目标
  a.学生能够听、说、认读下列单词: month
  b.学生能听、会说下列句子: When is your birthday? My birthday is in…并能运用这些句子与同学进行交流获取信息。
      c.学生会用正确的语音语调朗读课文。
    2. 学习策略
本课中,采用直观教学法、情境教学法与多媒体辅助教学法等相结合的方式,创设情境,故事导入,开展小组合作、调查及表演等活动。学生在这些活动中感知、实践、参与合作,形成自主学习的意识和习惯。
 四、教学重点
1. 学生能够听、说、认读下列单词: month
2. 能运用这些句子When is your birthday? My birthday is in…与同学进行交流获取信息。
 五、教学难点 
能熟练运用When is your birthday? My birthday is in…询问他人的生日。

七、教学过程
Step1 Warming up.
1. Introducing myself.
2.Say: My favorite month is October.
3.Review the words: July, August, September, October.
T: There are twelve months of the year. Let’s count them.
4. Show the topic “Unit5 Months of the Year PartA”.
(设计意图:本环节设计为课堂营造了圣诞节的情境,设法让学生进入了圣诞节状态。利用歌曲来导入课题, 既活跃气氛,又为新课教学作铺垫。 )
Step2 Revision
T: What presents do you want?
Students: I want a Christmas tree/ Christmas card/ robot…
(设计意图:让学生通过回答“你想要什么礼物?”这个问题进行头脑风暴,复习上节课学过的句型和单词。)
Step3 Presentation
1. Listen to the dialogue, think “what are they talking about”.
2. Listen again and answer the question, “When is your birthday, Yang Ming?”
Teach: March
3. Ask some students “Do you like your …?”. Teach them to answer “Yes, I do. /No, I don’t”.
4. Practice:
(1) Teacher asks “Do you like your …?”, All the students answer “Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.”
(2) All the students ask “Do you like your …?”, Teacher answers “Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.”
(3) Ask and answer between groups.
(4) Play a toss ball game.
All the students clap their hands and ask “Do you like your …?”, The student answers “Yes, I do.” or “ No, I don’t?”.
(5) Ask and answer in pairs.
(6) Drill: Play a chain game.
A: Do you like your…?
B :Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Do you like your…?
C: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Do you like your…?
D: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. ….
5. Teach the word “email”.
T: Look, it’s a nice computer. On Christmas Day, people can use computers to send emails to their friends.
T: On Christmas Day, Sally gets an email. Let’s listen and say, “Oh, a new email. It’s from_____.”
 (设计意图:本环节利用多媒体引出新句型Do you like your presents?中,学生能很快地接受语言信息,感知语言,领悟语义,并增强对新知识的记忆。创设情景,学习句型,并在学完后用所学句型进行层层操练,做到当堂学习,当堂巩固,收到良好的学习效果。)
Step4 Practice
1. Listen to the tape and read after the tape.
2. Choose a way to read the text in groups: read in groups, read in roles, read after me, read together.
3. Ask some groups of students to read the dialogue.
(设计意图:让学生以小组形式选择一种喜欢地方式操练所学对话,不仅激发学生学习兴趣,而且活跃了课堂气氛。)
4. Try to recite.
5. Ask and answer in groups.
Step5 Consolidation and extension.
1. Play a game: Magic eyes.
2. Guessing game.
3. Find friends.
 (设计意图:小组调查活动给学生提供互相学习、互相交流的机会,学生们在与同伴的合作交流中更好地掌握、运用所学内容,增强了学习英语自信心,调查后的汇报交流是必不可少的环节,既可以反馈学生的调查结果,又让学生再一次得到了实践的机会。
利用Chant来复习巩固这节课所学知识,充满了节奏感和趣味性,以此来培养学生创新能力,能很好地激发学生学习兴趣和主动性。)
Step6 Homework
1.Listen and imitate the text 3 times.
2.Finish Activity Book  Unit 5 Part A.
3.Do a survey: In your class,
 Whose birthday is in  March\April\May\June?
 (设计意图:第一题为口头作业,第二题为笔头作业,第三题为实践作业,让学有余力的学生自愿参与。三道作业的梯度设计,体现面向全体和因材施教的教学理念。)
