授课内容:      五年级   上册 

教学目标:

1、学习用如何询问他人的姓名,描述其外貌和个性特点。

2、使学生利用关键词对课文进行复述,培养学生听、说、读及英语表达能力。调动学生大胆说英语的积极性。

3、增强学生学习英语的兴趣。能够积极主动参与课堂教学的各项活动。

教学重难点:

熟练掌握所四会单词:her, his, eye, nose, hair

理解并准确掌握句型: What’s his/her name?及其回答“His/Her name is…”和用She/ He is clever/ quiet/ pretty.来描述外貌和个性特点。

教具及媒体准备:pictures, tape, PPT

重点落实主题词:What’s his/her name? His/Her name is…

                 her, his, eye, nose, hair

教学过程:

1.      Warming up and leading in.

1) Greeting

2) Review the sentence we have learned before:

Ask students some questions: “How are you?” “What’s your name? “ “How old are you?” “Where are you from?” “Where do you come from?”

3) Listen to a song: Let’s sing a song 《Head, shoulders, knees and toes》

2.      Show pictures and learn new sentence “What’s her name”

1)      Show Zhou Pei’s picture.

T: What’s her name?

S: Her name is Zhou Pei.

2)      Show Cathy’s picture.

T: What’s her name?

S: Her name is Cathy.

3)      Show Carla’s picture.

T: What’s her name?

S: Her name is Carla.

4)      Show Carl’s picture.

T: What’s his name?

S: His name is Carl.

3.      Show picture of Lesson 7.

T: Who are they?

S: They are Kate and her mum.

T: Who’s that girl?

S: She is Zhou Pei.

T: What’s her name?

S: Her name is Zhou Pei.

T: What are Kate and her mum talking about? Can you guess? Now, let’s listen to the video and answer my question“What does Zhou Pei look like?”

S: Zhou Pei has big eyes and long hair.

4.      Learn how to describe appearance.

Show big/small eyes and long/short hair and learn eyes and hair.

5.      Let’s see what does these girls look like.

Show Cathy and Carla’s pictures and some key words.

T: Can you use these key words to describe what does Cathy/Carla look like? Please use” She has…” sentence.

S: She has….

6.      Practice 1.

I show a picture of myself and introduce myself with” I have long hair, small eyes, a big nose and a big mouth”, then give students 2 minutes to introduce themselves to their partners. Teacher will invite some students to introduce themselves.

7.      Practice 2.

I have pictures of whole class. I want to choose students to pick up a picture and introduce this picture to other students. Students will introduce their classmates with these pictures.

8.      Fill in the blank.

9.      Roll-play.

Invite some students to roll play this dialogue.

10.  Homework.

1)      Finish Lesson 8 test.

2)      Copy the new words and sentences.
