 Let's spell
教学设计理念:本课时是四年级下册的语音教学课。语音教学的理念主要是引导学生直接模仿正确的发音,培养自然拼读能力,帮助学生自然习得字母组合的发音规则,从而慢慢内化为学生自身的拼读能力。
Teaching Content:
Unit 2  Let's spell
( PEP Primary English Book 4)
Teaching Aim:
1.Enable the pupils to grasp the sounds of the vowel letter combinations: ir, ur
2. Four skills: girl, bird, nurse, hamburger
3. Enable the pupils to use the pronunciation rules of ir, ur.
4. To train the pupils ability of cooperation.
Teaching Important and Difficult Points:
1.Four skill words: girl, bird, nurse, hamburger.
2.To use the pronunciation rules of ir,ur.
Teaching process
I.Start Class
T: (PPT)Who are they? Do you like them? Yes! They are minions. Look. This is Kevin. And this is Bob. Today we have a competition. I will divide you into two teams. Group 1 and Group 2 are Kevin Team. Group 3 and Group 4 are Bob Team. I have 5 tasks for you. If you win, you can get the tickets to enjoy the cartoon about Minions!
(设计意图:小黄人是最受欢迎的卡通人物之一,本课选取小黄人为教学主线,贴近学生生活,运用生活中的素材,符合儿童认知规律和心理特点。通过设置符合学生年龄认知水平和发展规律的闯关任务,充满挑战性和新鲜感的英语课堂大大激发了学生的兴趣学习,让学生一开始就对本课学习内容充满期待和新奇,兴趣盎然,从而激发学生的求知欲。)
2、Revision
Task 1  Can you see ? : Review the words in Unit 1(PPT):
sister   tiger   river   water   computer   eraser   dinner  winner  after  under   her 
And then review the pronunciation rule of er in Unit 1 .
(设计意图:通过热身游戏复习学生的旧有的语音知识,继续调动学生的学习积极性,创造温馨宽松的教学环境,让孩子100%都自觉投入到课堂中。)
.Presentation
1.Show the pictures and teach the words(PPT):
T: What does the chant talking about?
bird  hurt  girl  nurse  hamburger
T:Oh, What can you find in these five words.
Ps: ir, ur 
T: Good,Now read again and find out the sounds of ir and ur.
(设计意图:把本课要求学生掌握的五个单词串成一个故事,逐一呈现,让同学们在情境中理解单词。注重启发诱导,设情激趣。)
2. Task2 : I can chant
The bird is hurt.
Oh no,
The bird is hurt.
Oh no,
Little girl, little girl.
Please take the bird to the nurse.
(设计意图:读读唱唱,感知单词特点,活跃了课堂气氛,加强训练。)
III. Consolidation
1.Offer more words to the pupils , and encourage them try to read
(设计意图:在这个环节中,有效的巩固教学内容,保证学生全员参与,也尊重学生的独特体验。)
2.Read the word cards loudly in group.
3.Sort the words : tiger sister river water shirt bird purple her
T:Minions like bananas ,let’s help them take the bananas home
(设计意图:在这里,学生可以动起来,亲自动手的操作,充分体验学习给他们带来的成功和喜悦。)
3. Task 4  Do the listening exercises :
a. listen and circle 
b. listen and write the words.
(设计意图:在本环节中,启发学生大胆对同学得错误答案进行质疑,发表自己的见解)
IV. Extension
Task6: I can read the story
1 . Read 3 stories silently, and underline the words with ir or ur. (用PPT示范)
2.Read the stories with your partners.
(设计意图:根据学生的认知水平,选择贴近学生生活,紧扣本课的教学内容,进行适当地拓展,让学生觉得更富有挑战性,从而启发学生自我学习的热情。在本环节的活动中,培养学生的主动探究的精神和团结合作的意识。)
V. Summary
1. Summary 1: Knowledge. Show the words and encourage the pupils to sum up the sounds of the vowel letter combinations : er  ir  ur
T: Can you sum up the sounds of ir,ur, er?
(设计意图:引导学生善于归纳,善于总结。)
 2.Summary 2:Award the winners.
VI. Homework
Find more words with ir or ur.
